Scotch Rubber Mastic Tape 2228 is a 65-mil thick, premium grade, highly conformable self-fusing rubber electrical insulating and sealing tape.
Applicable over a temperature range of 32 to 100F (0 to 38C) without loss of physical properties. Is a UL recognized component for applications up to 130C (266F). Primary electrical insulation for cable and wire connections and vibration padding for motor leads rated up to 1000 volts. RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant. Thick construction allows quick application buildup and padding over irregular connections
