- A McDougall cabinet door hinge is a type of hardware used primarily in Hoosier-style cabinets, which were popular in early 20th-century American kitchens. These hinges are known for their specific offset mount design, typically with a 3/8 inch offset, which allows the cabinet door to sit slightly away from the cabinet frame. This design feature is essential for the proper function and aesthetic of Hoosier cabinets.
