Description

Based on a Chau Gong, that is the bullseye design with a rim, we removed the outer ring. What this does is give you a bit more response and shimmer and splash. It is not a crash like a Wind Gong, but more!

Because we have had the outer ring area lathed, it has a bouncier, more lively tone, and faster response when you strike it.
Strike it lightly and you get gentle clean depth.
Depth to exultant flourish in one gong.

The 26 Dark Star Gong, is mysterious, yet reveals mysteries. It can restore your hardware, it can make your Toyota brake dance, it is the First Airbender.

Similar to the Chau Gong, as it is thick metal with a rim, it rises above the traditional Chau Gong because of its lathing and finishing.

Able to hold deeper notes longer, without the fear of premature splashing sounds, the 26 Dark Star is a gong for those of you who have ears that like to hear things that are more than the normal. For minds and bodies hungry for a flavor and soul healing that is new.

Exclusive to Gongs Unlimited, the Deep Breath Chau Gongs are similar to the Deep Breath Gongs that we have all come to love, but with a rim! The presence of the rim focuses the sound and combined with the dark unlathed center, provides great sustain while holding the crash in.

Approaching the center of absolute zero, closing in on unity, you look to the center of it all and see yourself. You approach the event horizon, in a spatial moment just beyond, the Eventual Horizon

The sound of the universe reverberating through a wave field of strings and bands of light and darkness meets you and welcomes you back to the union of all things.

Let the balanced, deep tones of this gong aid you in your spiritual and emotional healing practice. Add one of these gongs to you sound therapy or yoga studio and meditate on the peaceful, harmonic motion of all things.

The 26 Heng Gong, has a deeper rim than other Chinese Gongs, and is a bit thicker in the bronze, but it is fully lathed like the Wind Gong. This creates a complex and marvelous mixture of sounds.

The deep rim holds such a deep rumble, the lathed face so sensitive to touch, shimmers with gentle taps, with focused harmonics and great, powerful presence.

The 26 Lunar Flare Gong is named after the ring of brightness that appears around the moon in a photo. It embodies the eternal of Earth’s only satellite, yet we know the flare only because of today’s technology which made it possible to capture this previously unseen and beautiful phenomenon. It has a deep sound, though not as sharp as its sister, the Solar Flare Gong. The rim focuses the sound which lingers pleasantly. There’s lightness, like the light from dthe moon that pierces the thick of night. Deep sound emanates and expands and transforms dark to light.

The 26 Mother Tesla Gong, is a version of the Chau Gong, the classic bullseye design, however what we asked our gong makers to do was NOT lathe it. There are several reasons for this. And several effects sonically and energetically.

By not polishing off the iron oxide, the gongmakers make sure that the gong is solid and mellifluous coming out of the oven. It creates a gong with less force on the crash and more of a spectrum of tones organic to the bronze. These gongs look good and sound good at their basic level.

The 26 Solar Flare Gong, has at its base structure the 26″ Wind Gong. No rim. It is based on the flat Wind Gong that angles at the edge down.

Where it differs is visually of course. The concentric lathed rings. What do they do, besides make it look super cool?

Well the rings slow down the inevitable crash and wash that a wind gong gives. It controls the down.

Subatomic particles of sound. Splashing around.
Concentric circles guide and spin.
When, oh when?!, will you hit that gong again.
Dude.

This is the effect of the 26″ Subatomic Gong. You think you’ve heard a gong before, but when you hear the Subatomic Gong it makes you wonder.
How is that extra flavor created?
Why would one extra lathed ring on the outside make such a difference?

This gong is outside the box.
It has the classic deep, but controlled crash like the Chau Gong. But instead the sound vibrating through a dark rim, the sound flies, splashes, zips out of the shining lathed edge.

Yes, the Subatomic Gong has an edge.

The 26 Trilogy Gong shares kinship with our Mother Tesla gongs, being mostly unlathed save for the point in the center and the three shining rings that encircle it. It has a deep, layered sound. It is slower to crash and maintains a sonorous, oscillating tone.

Great things often come in threes: primary colors, states of matter, blind mice, and rings on an Unlimited Trilogy Gong. The rings on this gong help give it a steady tremolo, or ripple effect. Fitting, as the rings resemble a ripple in still water. (perhaps made when there was no pebble tossed nor wind to blow, as The Grateful Dead would say)

The 26 White Gong, has a rim like a Chau Gong but is also fully lathed like a Wind gong. As expected, the White Gong has qualities of both these traditional Chinese gongs. The full lathing creates a bright, airy sound with a shiny splash, but the rim focuses that splash, and gives clarity to the overall sound.

If the Wind Gong is a soprano, the White Gong is an alto. At this size, it can be played gently to create a tone that is both musical and meditative.

The 26 Wind Gong has a sound that can be described as a deep splashy crash, a sound quite reminiscent of the wild winds here in Nebraska where Gongs Unlimited is located, this is a loud gong with an exciting tone. Celebrate your breeziest moments with a Wind Gong!

Celebration is refreshing like a spring breeze, why not let a wind gong blow into your life?
