3M Electrical Tape 1157R is a porous rayon mat tape with acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive that is specifically designed to allow thorough penetration of the impregnating resin inside bobbin wound coils.
100% Rayon fiber backing. Another advantage of 1157R tape is its ability, because of its porosity, to pick up resin and become thicker, making a hard moisture and mechanical barrier on the outside of the coil. Compatible with Scotchcast Brand resins. Porous construction allows varnishes to penetrate thoroughly
